Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton

Boca Rio Golf Club is a private golf club in west Boca Raton that offers a secluded golf experience surrounded by native South Florida landscaping. The club occupies roughly 200 acres without residential development directly around the course, creating a peaceful setting for members and their guests.

A Challenging Boca Raton Golf Course

The centerpiece of Boca Rio is its 18-hole, par-72 golf course, originally designed by renowned golf architect Robert von Hagge. The layout extends to approximately 7,100 yards from the back tees and combines broad fairways, strategically positioned bunkers, and undulating putting surfaces.

The course provides a variety of challenges throughout the round. Players need to consider their club selection, approach angles, hazards, and positioning on the greens. The combination of rolling terrain and natural surroundings gives Boca Rio a distinctive character compared with many residential golf courses in South Florida.

The course has also hosted professional golf. Boca Rio served as the site of the Gainbridge LPGA event, bringing high-level women’s professional golf to the club.
